The company was founded in 1930 by Wilhelm Link as a farrier in Tieringen (Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg). Due to the decline in horse keeping after the end of World War II, Link and his son Werner developed a new business idea: due to the lack of comfortable seating for seamstresses in the textile industry, the duo invented suitable chairs for the workers in 1961 and began manufacturing industrial work chairs. The interstuhl brand was launched in 1967. The company, which is still family-owned today, is now one of the leading suppliers of industrial and office chairs and still traditionally manufactures in Germany. By using the latest technology, always together with a sustainable awareness, excellent design products are created with the highest quality standards.<\/p>\n
